How is toilet paper made?
Toilet paper is actually made out of recycled paper. The recycled paper is then placed into the "pulper" which is just a giant tank filled with warm water. The paper is mixed for about ten minutes making it into what is known as pulp, this step takes out all of the metal and excess plastic. The next step to making toilet paper is taking out all of the ink from the recycled paper. That is done by putting air into the pulp which makes the ink rise with the air. Now they skim out all of the foam (ink particles) from the pulp. Next the pulp passes through a series of rollers which squeeze out all of the extra water. Doing this dries out the soggy pulp allowing it to be able to absorb the chemicals that will be used to bleach it. Spinning blades now break the paper up to prepare it for the bleaching process. The bleach turns the greyish color pulp into a pure white to make it look more like toilet paper. Then the pulp is spread out on a flat surface to be dried out. The pulp becomes very thin and then is put onto rollers to be stamped to look like toilet paper.
